PPR Elbow 90° f/m
The female end takes a PP-R pipe. The male end is a spigot: it is fused straight into the socket of another fitting or a valve, with no pipe offcut between them. Both ends are socket fusion joints, not threads.

Description and application
The PPR Elbow 90° f/m is a PP-R socket fusion fitting that turns a hot or cold water line through 90°. It has a female socket for the pipe at one end and a male spigot at the other, which fuses directly into another fitting or a valve. It is rated PN25 and comes in Ø20 and Ø25.
The PPR Elbow 90° f/m changes the direction of a PP-R line by 90°. Its two ends are different. The female end is a socket that takes the pipe. The male end is a spigot with the pipe's outside diameter, so it fuses directly into the socket of a tee, coupling, valve or other fitting. This lets the installer make a tight turn right at a valve or branch without cutting a short piece of pipe. The elbow is made of PP-R to EN ISO 15874-3, the standard for polypropylene fittings in hot and cold water installations. It is rated PN25, with an operating temperature of 70 °C and a maximum temperature of 95 °C. Pressure ratings at other temperatures and service lives are given in the technical data sheet. It comes in Ø20 and Ø25, in white or grey, and belongs to the Eternal line. The fitting is used in drinking water lines, hot water distribution and heating circuits in homes, apartment blocks and commercial buildings. It is especially useful in compact runs such as manifold connections, risers, and the short drops to valves and sanitary points. Both joints are made by socket fusion. The pipe goes into the female end, and the male end goes into the socket of the next fitting or valve. Each joint is made with a socket fusion welding tool and the heating and joining times for the size, which gives a homogeneous PP-R joint with no seals or threads. We recommend that a qualified installer makes all fusion joints and pressure-tests the finished installation.

Questions
- What is a PPR 90 degree elbow used for in a hot and cold water installation in a house or apartment block?
- A PPR 90 degree elbow turns a PP-R hot or cold water line through a right angle, for example around a wall corner, up a riser or into a manifold. The PPR Elbow 90° f/m does this with one socket end for the pipe and one spigot end that fuses directly into a fitting or valve. It is rated PN25, with an operating temperature of 70 °C and a maximum of 95 °C.
- What types of PPR elbow 90 fittings are there, and when should an installer choose a female/male elbow over a standard one?
- PPR 90° elbows come as standard elbows with two sockets, female/male elbows with one socket and one spigot, and threaded elbows with a metal insert. Choose the PPR Elbow 90° f/m when the turn must sit directly on a valve, tee or other fitting. Its spigot fuses straight into that socket, so no short piece of pipe is needed and the connection stays compact.
- How is the spigot end of a PPR female/male 90° elbow joined to a valve or another PP-R fitting on site?
- The spigot end of the PPR Elbow 90° f/m is joined by socket fusion. It is heated and pushed into the socket of the valve or fitting, the same way a pipe end would be. The installer uses a socket fusion welding tool with the heating and joining times for Ø20 or Ø25, which are listed in the technical data sheet. A qualified installer should make the joints and pressure-test the system.
- Can a PN25 PPR elbow 90 be used on central heating circuits that run at around 70 °C in a residential building?
- Yes. The PN25 PPR Elbow 90° f/m is suitable for heating circuits: its operating temperature is 70 °C and its maximum temperature is 95 °C. The allowable pressure goes down as the temperature goes up, so check the pressure-temperature table in the technical data sheet against the design conditions of the system.
- Which standard does the PPR elbow 90 f/m meet, and in which sizes and colours is it available for distributors?
- The PPR Elbow 90° f/m meets EN ISO 15874-3, the standard for polypropylene fittings in hot and cold water installations. It is available in Ø20 and Ø25, in white or grey, as part of the Eternal line. It is made of PP-R and is rated PN25.
